Helena Castro Ferreira iniciou-se em piano com 9 anos e terminou o Conservatório em 2008.
Frequentou 2 anos de licenciatura em canto na ESMAE, no Porto, e mudou-se para Hamburgo onde terminou a licenciatura e o Mestrado em Ópera. Estreou-se no papel de Gretel, na ópera "Hänsel und Gretel" de Humperdinck em 2009 e desde aí tem-se apresentado em vários concertos tanto em Portugal como na Alemanha.
Nos Açores, é membro fundador do grupo "Bruma Ensemble".
Helena Castro Ferreira began her piano studies at the age of 9 and graduated at the Music Conservatorio in 2008.
After 2 years in Oporto she decided to continue her studies in Hamburg where she graduated in Singing and later in her Opera Master Degree.
She Debuted in 2009 as Gretel in the opera "Hänsel und Gretel" by E.Humperdinck and has since sang in many concerts both in Portugal and Germany.
In the Azores she is one of the founding members of the group "Bruma Ensemble"
Helena Castro Ferreira wurde auf den Azoren geboren. 2008 begann sie ihr Gesangstudium in Porto. 2010 wechselte sie an die Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Hamburg.
Sie gewann 2013 den Berenberg Preis, und 2016 den zweiten Platz (Bolsa Cidade de Lisboa) beim Nationalen Gesangswettbewerb der Fundação Rotária Portuguesa.
Auf der Bühne, als Titelrollen hat sie Tirésias ("Les mamelles de Tirésias" - F.Poulenc); Angelica ("Suor Angelica" - G.Puccini), und Rita("Rita" - G.Donizetti) gesungen.
