MiratecArts promoveu a terceira edição do Azores Birdwatching Arts Festival de 11 a 21 de dezembro. Entre conversas, workshops, conferência, expedição fotográfica e observação de aves na ilha do Pico, assim se concretizou o objectivo deste projeto de promover a prática da observação de aves e fomentá-la, de forma educativa, através da dinâmica criada por intermédio das artes.
O Centro de Reabilitação de Aves Selvagens no Pico )CERAS) acolheu o grupo participante para uma visita guiada no sábado de Observação e Expedição. Os mais curiosos tiveram a oportunidade de conhecer a Coruja-das-Neves, que depois de ter sido capturada em 2015 na Fajã Grande, Flores, por não conseguir voar, encontrou casa de recuperação neste centro. O Azores Birdwatching Arts Festival aceita propostas de artistas com trabalhos na temática de aves e sua observação. www.azoresbirdwatching.com

MiratecArts hosted the third edition of the Azores Birdwatching Arts Festival from December 11 - 21. Between workshops, conferences and conversation, a photographic expedition and bird watching on Pico Island, the project’s objective to promote bird watching in an educational way through the arts was accomplished.
The Wild Bird Rehabilitation Center in Pico welcomed the group of birdwatchers for a guided Observation and Expedition tour. Curious participants had the opportunity to meet the Snow Owl, which after being captured in 2015 in Fajã Grande on the island of Flores as it couldn’t fly, is now fully recovered after being housed at the Center.
The Azores Birdwatching Arts Festival accepts proposals from artists with bird-themed works and bird observation. www.azoresbirdwatching.com
